Over $1,000,000,000 in combined seafood sales including the first to bring FAS Norwegian haddock to the United States and introduction of time and temperature tracking for scallops this is an innovative team as well as an experienced team
The intersection of our careers during 10 years resulted in a mutual respect for talents and ethics which was the basis for the formation of Ethical Fish Trading. We look forward to helping customer and suppliers meet their objectives.
Ray Swenton - President & Founder
Ray has over 40 years of experience in the Seafood industry doing everything including Quality Assurance, Production Forman, VP Sales, and Founder President and Chairman. Ray was instrumental in helping AB Abba from Sweden launch a fresh seafood operation in the US and eventually became the co Founder of Bristol Seafood.
Ray has a BA in Anthropology from the University Massachusetts Dartmouth and in addition to his extensive business experience has served on numerous board and councils including:
President of the PFE [Portland Fish Exchange] Board of Directors.
Member of the FPA [Fish Pier Authority] of Portland Maine.
Chairman of the FIP [Fisheries Improvement Project] for Jonah Crab as sponsored by GMRI.
Navigator at GMRI and member of the Science committee.
Member of the Maine DMR Scallop advisory council.
Member of the Maine DMR Fisheries advisory council.
Member of NOAA's Seafood Promotion & Sustainability council.

Brian Robinson - VP Sales and Founder
Brian has been in the seafood industry for 32 years. Starting in 1990 he has seen the evolution in the seafood industry. Starting his career in the industry as a truck driver developed into sales positions and management roles.
His vast knowledge of the seafood industry has propelled him in his seafood career, built on integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
Born and raised in Saco, Maine and a graduate of Thornton Academy class of 1984.
Brian’s work traits are dedication, attention to detail, product knowledge, follow through and customer satisfaction.
Interests:
One of the most important things to Brian is building and maintaining trustworthy relationships with customers and building their business together.
He enjoys time with family and friends, all outdoor activities in the great state of Maine, hockey and football.

Darrell Pardy, CA - V.P. Finance & Founder
Darrell brings over 40 years of entrepreneurial experience to Ethical Fish Trading. This includes 35 years in C-Level and Founder positions in the seafood industry.
He has B. Comm (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia and obtained his CPA/CA in the provinces of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. He located to Portland Maine with his family in 1994 and is a dual US-Canadian citizen.
In addition to his seafood experience he is a founding partner of Brown Dog Carriers in Biddeford Maine and has served on many non-profit Boards including as Chair for the Portland Fish Pier Authority, Waynfleet School, and Portland Stage.
Darrell is an avid fly fisherman and big game hunter having completed the North American Deer slam as one of his favorite achievements.
He is looking forward to renewing the many friendships and partnerships that were formed during his prior time in the seafood industry.
